Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) 2016 is barely two weeks away!
The yearly event where geeks can nab free comics at participating local stores is held on the first Saturday of May. Which means that on 7 May, Red Dot Diva and her geek buddies will be going about different shops getting comics for free. It is a great way to get introduced to new titles or creators, and fans are already strategizing on what's the optimal way to get these free comics!
Details of what's happening at each store have yet to be announced yet. However, you can LIKE the FCBD Singapore Facebook Page and look out for updates.

This is a super-quickie online contest for eagle-eyed and interested Red Dot Island fans out there!
"Resurrection" is a fantasy-based TV drama series which will be showing on Lifetime Asia cable channel, starting May 12, Mondays at 10 PM.
The series is based on a the book called "The Returned" by Jason Mott. The story documents the strange going-ons in small town Arcadia, Missouri, where dead people suddenly turn up not remembering that they have already left their mortal coil.
Among the first to return from the dead is 8-year-old boy Jacob Langston (Landon Gimenez) who was escorted back to his home town by immigration officer J. Martin Bellamy (Omar Epps). His reappearance caused ripples of effects to this now aged parents - Henry (Kurtwoodd Smith) and Lucy (Frances Fisher) Langston, and town folks, as well as stirred up the curiosity of the local town sheriff and his daughter.
And now, as part of the South-East Asian promotion, stars of "Resurrection" - Omar Epps and Kurtwood Smith - are coming to Singapore to meet the local fans and media tomorrow May 6!

Then, get ready to bloody-butt-kick it down while swearing when the sequel of "Kick-Ass" returns to the local movie screen this month!
Based on the comic-books by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr, "Kick-Ass 2" continues from the first movie when more people are inspired to don on costumes and become masked vigilantes.
Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) turns to the group called Justice Forever, led by an ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carey), when Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) tries hard to return to "normal life" as a high-school teenager. Then Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) transforms himself to become a revenging super-villian The Mother F**ker and amasses a loyal super-army to scr*w up with all their good intentions.
