STGCC 2015: Meet Seth Adams At Artist Alley - But Look Out! There's Going To Be An XMas Zombie Apocalypse!

There is an XZA coming to STGCC.

Yep. An Xmas Zombie Apocalypse. In the middle of September. Never mind that it's not the winter solstice yet. (Zombies, after all, aren't the most reliable source for time-keeping.)

But you have been duly warned, and it would be best if you head to Artist Alley Booth 96 during STGCC to get prepped about the XZA. Ask for Seth Adams. He will tell you more about the impending invasion of the undead.

Who? You ask.

Seth Adams. Artist. Creator. The tough-looking, bald, beardy, bicepstuous one-half of the booth occupant who knows the details behind XZA because he is the source. (Besides, the other guy who will be there is neither bald nor beardy, tho' still bicepstuous, so it would be doubtful you'll make a mistake. Also, the other dude's name is Kelly Bender. ;) )

To help you get a little more comfortable with Seth Adams, Red Dot Diva huddled down with him, all whispery and in camouflage, so as not to attract any hungry zombies who may be lurking around.

RUN! It's The Walking Dead Terminus Escape Game!

... and it's coming to the shores of our Red Dot Island on 11 and 12 October!

Now is the best time to train for a zombie apocalypse because at a very secret location (that will only be revealed on the day itself), those with special passes will have to to use their wits and whatever tools available to escape from the locked environment within a certain time. (Note: Pass-holders will be transported to Terminus, and will be put together with a few group members for the game.)

And what if the attempt to escape ends up being unsuccessful? Then, *Chomp!*.. it's agrrgggghrrr BRAINSssssss Time.

At Kinokuniya - "Land of the Meat Munchers" Meet-The-Author Session with Zombies and Blood-Red Skies

If you think the book "Land of the Meat Munchers" is a foodie's guide to the best meat dishes found around Red Dot Island, or some sordid story involving a lot of plump juicy booty, think again. Although, come to think of it, "Land of the Meat Munchers" does involve a whole lot of writhing bodies, but of a far less sexier kind.

The book, by ex-ST journalist now-freelance writer Nicholas Yong (whom Red Dot Diva meets in the local geek world from time to time), is a tale about 3 young survivors trying to make their way from Ghim Moh to Tiong Bahru MRT station during a zombie apocalypse in Red Dot Island.

The book started off with undergraduate Jim scrounging for more food and supplies around the Ghim Moh HDB estate when he met an already unhinged Serina, who saved him from a near fateful "uncle"-zombie attack. While driving along Mount Sinai Road, they bumped (literally) into Bollywood-handsome Raj with a love for cooking, and the trio banded together to keep those hungry undead gnashers out of their way.

Diva's Q&A With Nick Santonastasso - He Who Gave Norman Reedus A Really Good Scare

Pardon Red Dot Diva for one more zombie blog post before she sails into other territories.

If only for awhile!

This little prank was too hilarious to pass up and share with all who love the "The Walking Dead", and particularly, with  all the fellow Norman Reedus fans, out there.

After Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus did their rounds of highly energetic fan events, a masterclass with drama students and charming the socks off media folk at press roundtables in Singapore, they both headed straight to Tokyo, Japan for their next wave of promo for "The Walking Dead".

SDCC 2013 Recap: Breakfast With The Walking Dead. Graaaiiinnnssssss! (Part 1)

Nothing beats encountering a starving zombie in a cramped elevator early in the morning.

But that was exactly what happened to Red Dot Diva on Day 2 of San Diego Comic-Con this summer.

The invite for "The Walking Dead" breakfast press event came as a surprise in Red Dot Diva's email inbox. How could she say no to it?? The event was way too special and too rare a chance to pass up. Especially for someone from the tiny Red Dot Island.

So on that Friday morning, she dragged herself out of bed and managed to find her way to Hotel Andaz at Gaslamp.

Singapore Zombie Walk: When Zombies Stumble About at Clarke Quay

Clarke Quay. The favourite drinking hole of many and a crowded weekend nightspot.

And just a few hours ago, it was infested by close to 130 undead beings participating for the first Singapore Zombie Walk.

When the horde of zombies began making their shuffle across Reed Bridge and around the many clubs there, most of the living seemed repulsed yet excited about being this close to the undead. Others simply looked utterly confused at their sudden appearance at the glitzy tourist trap.

Along the way, the number of cameras wielded by passersby and active Zombie Empathizers like Red Dot Diva was countless. One amused tourist sitting at a restaurant was overheard saying to his partner, "Look at all the people with cameras. They are part of the zombie procession too!"

Singapore Zombie Walk: The Zombie Apocalypse Is Coming!

You've seen it happening at other places.

Broken store windows. Empty towns; strings of cars left abandoned on a highway. A bloody trail.

Is that a ...... .... O_O

Then... the low moans. And the sounds of shuffling feet coming closer.... closer....

It is drawing near, people. The Zombie Apocalypse will hit the shores of Red Dot Island in 32 days and counting.

Are you one of the Zombies? A Zombie Killer? Or are you a Zombie Sympathizer?

To ensure that there's a balanced viewpoint on all sides, Red Dot Diva dug around and found a Zombie (SG variant) Representative, who was willing to spill its guts to the general public. All behind the safety of a communication device, of course. And the help of her trusty Zombie Moan Translater.

Gilamon's Lefty Kam Says Zombies Can Save The World Too!

After stories relating to vampires and werewolves became more mainstream in novels and TV/ movies, it was only time that their not so pretty, undead cousins - the Zombies - would be enjoying their fair share of the limelight.

The 2009 "Zombieland" comedy movie about finding a family in the midst of a zombie apocalypse received critical reviews and soon after, cable channel AMC found a hit zombie TV series based on Image Comics' "The Walking Dead" graphic novels.

Red Dot Diva thinks zombies are wayyyyyy disgusting. She is sure they are fetid too, but it doesn't mean she is unable to relish slabs of entertaining stories. Even if the subject matter is putrefyingly hungry for brains.

With a rather smart twist to the usual zombie storyline, Gilamon Studio - a Malaysian-based independent comics production company - has churned out a series of graphic novels called "Major Zombie" that mashes up superhero into the mix of the undead.
